H.A.N.D policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what H.A.N.D processes when you use its account-free note analysis service.
Effective: October 10, 2026 · Updated: October 10, 2026
1. Scope and operator
H.A.N.D (Handwritten Analysis & Note Digitization) is a 592 Industries product. This policy applies to the H.A.N.D website and its note-analysis features. The broader 592 Industries website has a separate Privacy Policy.
2. Information you provide
H.A.N.D processes the note images or camera photos you submit, optional reference text or text files, and the title, subject, and topic you enter. Notes may contain personal, academic, confidential, or third-party information even though H.A.N.D does not ask for it.
The service also stores the transcription, equations, summary, concepts, uncertainty notes, comparison findings, score, and corrections produced during your session.
Do not submit highly sensitive, confidential, or third-party material unless you are authorized to use it and accept the processing described here.
3. Account-free sessions
H.A.N.D does not require a name, email address, phone number, profile, password, or payment details. It creates a random session identifier and places it in an essential browser cookie. The cookie is HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict, restricted to this site, and has no fixed browser expiry date.
The session identifier links your browser to isolated server-side session data. Anyone who gains control of the active browser session may be able to use that session.
4. How information is used
- Validate uploads and prevent malformed or excessive requests.
- Transcribe, organize, compare, score, display, edit, export, and delete analyses.
- Maintain recent analyses during the temporary session.
- Limit repeated requests, support safe retries, diagnose errors, and protect the service.
5. AI and infrastructure processing
Submitted images and text are sent from the H.A.N.D worker through DeepSpace's server-side AI service for processing by an Anthropic model. DeepSpace hosts the application and its isolated session storage. These providers may process request content and technical metadata under their own terms and policies.
Anthropic states that standard commercial API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default and are normally deleted from its backend within 30 days, with exceptions for legal and misuse-prevention needs. H.A.N.D has not independently verified a zero-data-retention agreement or the exact provider configuration used by the DeepSpace proxy. Review Anthropic's training notice, retention notice, and DeepSpace's privacy information.
6. Technical data
H.A.N.D stores session activity times, analysis counts, request-limit counters, and idempotency records in the temporary session. Application errors may be logged for diagnosis. Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, user agents, timestamps, request paths, status codes, and security events independently. H.A.N.D does not include an advertising or audience-analytics service.
7. Storage and deletion
H.A.N.D keeps uploads and results in isolated DeepSpace session storage while the session is active. Browser connections and valid session requests refresh activity. After the last connection closes, the service schedules cleanup after 30 minutes. Later valid activity can delay cleanup. Disconnect events are signals, and deletion is not enforced by a fresh expiry check on every request.
The Clear Session Data control deletes the application records available to that session. Automatic or manual deletion covers data controlled in H.A.N.D's session store, but does not guarantee immediate deletion from provider logs, security records, backups, browser caches, or files you downloaded. Provider retention can be longer than H.A.N.D's session window.
8. Cookies and browser storage
H.A.N.D uses one essential session cookie. It uses local storage for the light or dark theme choice and session storage for a one-time page recovery marker. It does not intentionally use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, IndexedDB, or a service worker. See the Cookie and Session Policy.
9. Sharing and legal requests
Information is shared with DeepSpace and the AI provider only as needed to operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to address misuse or security incidents, or to protect rights and safety. H.A.N.D does not sell submitted notes or use them for advertising.
10. Security
Controls include same-origin request checks, secure cookie settings, isolated session routing, file type and size validation, rate limits, security headers, and private image routes. No internet service can guarantee complete security.
11. Children
H.A.N.D is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly ask for personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact us so we can review the request.
12. Your choices and requests
You can clear the active session from Settings, remove analyses individually, clear browser data, or close the session and allow scheduled cleanup. Depending on your location, you may also have legal rights concerning personal information. Because no account is created, we may be unable to identify or recover a session after its cookie is lost.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or its providers change. The updated date will show when a revision takes effect.
Questions and requests may be submitted through 592 Industries support or by phone at +1 (516) 336-9270.
